Michael T. Platt

Michael enforces the design patent, copyright, utility patent and trade dress rights of SAIDMAN DesignLaw Group's clients against infringers. Before joining the firm, Michael enjoyed a 45 year career in intellectual property litigation with the United States Department of Justice, with a renowned New York City intellectual property firm, with his own boutique intellectual property firm, and as a founding member of the intellectual property departments of two national law firms. After enjoying a short retirement, Michael realized how much he missed the hurly-burly of patent litigation and agreed to join his old friend Perry Saidman to bring to justice the knock-off artists who plague industrial designers.

Outside of work, Michael enjoys his grandchildren and acting in community and professional theatrical productions.
